The Geograph Titanium features two incredibly thin aventurine dials, 0.5 mm thick, on which any work is dangerous.
The Geograph Titanium is a special limited edition: 12 pieces only. Call meters are made of aventurine. Aventurine is a pleasant coincidence: in the seventeenth century, glassblowers scatter metal shards on their windows. The unexpected result caused quite a stir in the royal courts and major glass manufacturers, especially in Murano.
Today, there are hardly any masters who do this. Louis Moinet works with a few rare examples from the personal collection of Daniel Haas, the man behind Louis Moinet dials made from semiprecious stones, cosmic materials, comets and stardust.
